Kelly Clement The Motherduck.

When I was ten, I tore apart my first transistor radio and tried to figure out how to add more speakers to it. It quacked, made smoke and died. But, I was hooked.
When I was nineteen, I wrote a business plan, got SBA backing, and launched an automotive electronics retail and installation business.
Leveraging success in automotive electronics, I expanded into residential and commercial electronic systems contracting. I managed all aspects of the business, including product merchandising, sales, finance and human resources. To market my business I developed, sponsored and promoted home and car audio events. I was an active member of the NAHB, CEDIA, Grand Forks ND Chamber and IASCA.
A historic flood decimated my community in 1997, the subsequent economic impact to the community forced me to close the business. I moved to the Twin Cities to join Capitol Sales. There, as a technical design sales rep, I further developed my skills as a sales person and my knowledge of the industry over a period of fifteen years. I developed and supported a diverse group of 300 dealers. My clientele consisted of independent specialty retailers, eCommerce retailers, residential and commercial electronics systems contractors, and communications contractors. My responsibilities included relationship and business development, system specification, developing and managing EDI product systems, promoting and training on current products, and technical support. I achieved continual sales growth via aggressive new account development in all channels. I also developed and presented technical sales training programs both internally and at trade shows. I was an integral part of the trade show efforts at CEDIA Expo, Infocomm, CES, and Capitol Sales Learning Institute.
Also, prior to forming Motherduck Marketing and Sales I held sales positions with a national commercial systems integration company and a regional independent rep firm, and obtained my CTS certification from InfoComm.
The key to my success over the years has been my ability to assist my customers in identifying trends and promoting opportunities for potential growth, and actively supporting their pursuit of new opportunities.
My life long passion for electronics and my penchant for "doing it right", coupled with over 26 years of building positive and productive business relationships are the cornerstones of Motherduck. We get it done!
References, I have them, and I love to use them. How many would you like?

Jeanie Wohlers The Duckling.

Jeanie has over 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial systems contracting. Upon becoming a licensed contractor in 1997, Jeanie launched what would become a successful custom AV integration company in rural Minnesota. With her business, Jeanie helped introduce “custom installation” to the area. Jeanie recalls “I had to help clients overcome the belief their electricians would run all the right wires!” Committed to staying close to the working end of the business Jeanie continues to maintain her Minnesota Power Limited Technician (PLT) license.
Plagued with troublesome knee s Jeanie hung- up her ladders and sold her AV Company in 2005. Wohlers then took a technical sales position with respected national AV distributor, Capitol Sales. At Capitol, she was responsible for over 300 accounts. Quickly recognized by commercial and residential systems contractors as an extremely knowledgeable partner, Jeanie was a valued resource to them for product knowledge, systems design & engineering support, and business management counsel.
Recruited by Best Buy in 2012, Jeanie was instrumental in the start- up of a division created to lease high- end AV systems that were installed via a network of regional and local AV integration companies.
When presented with an opportunity to immerse hers lf in the commercial contracting sector Jeanie became a sales executive with a top 20 US commercial contracting enterprise Alpha Video & Audio.
Truly, a modern Renaissance woman, Jeanie enjoys a diverse technical sales and management background. Prior to her career in the electronics systems sector, Jeanie worked in roles as Research & Development Manager with an engine driven generator manufacturer, Engineering Specialist with an international aeration equipment company and as a regional Manager of gas & welding supply chain locations.
Jeanie’s notable personal and creative interests include being an accomplished horsewoman. Having been an Equine Facility Owner, Clinician, Horse Trainer & Competitor for many years. Jeanie is also an accomplished vocalist. In 1990, she was recognized as Minnesota’s Country Music Entertainer of the year, Top Female vocalist and Miss Minnesota Country Music. Today Jeanie fuels her passion for performing music by gathering with AV industry friends for jam sessions. (And, maybe a few beers). Over the last 10 years, Jeanie has been passionately utilizing her contractor & woodworking talents designing and building her own custom log home, in beautiful hill country where she raises native grasses.

Darlene Rines The Duckling.

I was lost, but now I have been found! Or, I was wondering the dessert and then found water……Hmmmm, how about, I have had many jobs but now have the job of my dreams, that I didn’t know I dreamt about!!! There it is!
Working jobs that range from delivering papers before I was even 10, to serving gigs, working at nurseries with flora and fauna, sales, operations manager, underwriting multi-family loans, event planning, executive assistant, I could go on and on, or maybe I captured the main ones. Then something happened the summer of 2021.
July of 2021, I was asked to sing at a memorial service that was to be held outdoors. I needed a keyboard. I thought about it, asked my former church choir director, she did not have one, then thought some more and Kelly Clement popped into my mind! We attended both grade school and high school together and grow up out in the country about a mile away from one another. We had also been in a band together before we took off on our own personal adventures. We hadn’t been in contact for about 30 years, but that magic thing called Facebook had brought us back together.
Long story short, as every Minnesotan says, I borrowed a keyboard, we were reunited, she needed someone to help reach out to customers for a few hours a week, I said I could. Having COVID through a mighty wrench in my trajectory to become the next President/CEO of Comcast NBC/Universal (I was working there in State Government Affairs), I was looking for a place to land. Drum roll please, ha, I am a drummer, I have now been added as a full-time duckling who is learning, growing, and will soon be as one with the flock!
Kelly and Jeanie have the technical experience and what I lack in that, I make up with great enthusiasm to learn and help all our clients! If I don’t know that answer, well gosh darn it, I will find the person who does know! My work ethic is strong, my yearning to learn more is great, and my desire to help every person I talk to is immense. Having these qualities has always allowed me to excel in all my positions thru life and take on more responsibility. I have brought these skills sets to Motherduck Marketing
Like both Kelly and Jeanie, I to am musical. I have sung for many years, have sat in and played the drums for many local bands, and played/sang on a few church CD’s. Having been around bands and instruments for about 30 years I do have a good understanding on how this world of sound works. I am thrilled to be working in this industry with such amazing women and look forward to helping Motherduck and your business grow.
